Efficiency refers to the ratio of the amount of particles retained to the total amount of particles. High efficiency filter is the one that can hold low micron particles and toxic gases (valid for activated carbon filters) in the desired life. The ratio expected from the efficiency performance of the air filter is 99.90% and above.
Flame Resistance
The filter material used must be flame retardant against possible flare-ups in the air conditioning system.
Anti Bacterial
The filter material used should not produce bacteria on itself.
Capable of Holding Toxic Gases (Valid for Activated Carbon Filters)
The filter material used should be able to hold toxic gases in the air and clean the air that will go into the vehicle from these gases harmful to human health.
Resistance to Moisture and Temperature Change
The filter material used is exposed to water, humidity and variable temperature conditions in the vehicle ventilation system. (e.g.: Rainy weather) The materials used in the filter must withstand these conditions and not lose their function.
Filter Life
Shelf Life : It has a minimum shelf life of 3 years in its packaging in a moisture-free environment, at a temperature range of -10 +40 C, without exposure to water and direct sunlight.
Usage Life :During air filtration, the filter retains contaminants in the sucked air. This leads to clogging of the filter over time. Therefore, the maintenance and replacement period specified by the vehicle manufacturers should be followed for the replacement of the filters. If the end-of-life, filled and clogged filter is not replaced, the air quality entering the vehicle will deteriorate.
The air filtering element is designed according to the system to be installed, the installation location, the environment in which the vehicle will operate, the maintenance period and other conditions.
Different designs are applied for automobiles, light commercial vehicles, public transport vehicles, heavy commercial vehicles; different designs are applied for vehicles operating in very dusty environments such as agricultural sector, excavation and construction sites; different designs are applied for air, sea and railway vehicles.
